A brush is fast. One movement of the hand and there's a stroke. But a brush doesn't know what to paint. Whether it's a mountain or a stream is decided by the hand that holds it. AI is much the same. It reads and writes quickly, but it doesn't know what's true about your shop. So we split the job in four. The brush can help a lot with the first two. The last two belong to the hand.
Reading: where the brush is quick
Reading a shop's page and pulling out what it sells, who might buy, and how it talks is something AI does fast and well. It can pick up the words a shop keeps coming back to, too. It sorts what you'd otherwise have to read and note down by hand.
That's why Meok can start from a single link. But reading isn't knowing. What isn't on the page can't be read off it.
Writing: good drafts, no sense of truth
From what it has read, AI can write a first draft close to your tone and fit its length and form to each channel. You don't have to begin from a blank screen.
What it can't do is know what's true about your shop. Left alone, it may fill a gap with something that merely sounds right. Its prose reads smoothly, so a wrong line can look right, and that's the part to be careful about. So Meok writes only what's confirmed. Prices, times and discounts stay out unless confirmed, and the photos you upload come first.
Choosing: the hand's job
Which draft sounds like your shop? You know best. Swipe right to keep, left to skip. The more you swipe and fix, the closer it gets to your voice.
AI can be wrong, and that's exactly why you get to choose. If a draft is almost right, tell us in words and we rewrite the text and make several new pictures.
AI can be wrong. So the last door stays in a person's hand.
Tapping: a person does it
Following, liking and commenting are only suggested by Meok, because platform terms forbid automating them. A person does the tapping.
It isn't only about the rules. What gives a local shop its strength is that someone real is there. A greeting to a neighbour is only a greeting when a person sends it.
Posting straight to your channels opens one by one during the beta. Until then, you copy the text and post it yourself.
What the brush can't paint
The brush is quick, but it has never seen your shop in the morning: the hour the sun reaches the window, the seat a regular takes. You have.
We'll hold the brush steady. What gets painted is always up to you.
